How low will it go? Where has optimism and consumerism gotten us, the stock markets going down while people?

……Did what they were supposed to do over the past ten years, did what W told them to do after three buildings fell at free fall speed: Go shopping.

People spent and spent and did what they thought they were supposed to do: Even with money they didn’t have!

So what went wrong?
Is it really the people’s fault who did what they were told to do that is to blame for a GLOBAL economic crisis or is it the banking systems?

Why do the central banks get to set people up for destruction then control everything even more in the end?
So, should we still go shopping to stimulate the economy or what?
Brian: So what caused the housing bust? You believe this economic crisis was not something that was building up in the works over the past ten years but something which happened suddenly in Oct?
The FED causes the housing bubbles and busts, there is little to no congressional oversight of the Federal Reserve or the how banks do unscrupulous business practices. Government didn’t tell banks to give people balloon mortgages, it’s just simply better for business.
